Does Tableside work for both new hires and experienced staff?

Does Tableside replace in-person training?
Not at all. It enhances it. Tableside reinforces key skills, helps with consistency across shifts, and gives staff an easy way to practice, even when managers don’t have time for one-on-one coaching.

2. Setup & Technical Requirements

Do I need to install anything?
No. Tableside runs entirely in the browser. There’s nothing to download, no special equipment needed, and it works on any device — phone, tablet, or POS computer.
How long does it take for staff to learn using Tableside?
Most staff can complete a coaching session in 2–5 minutes, and micro-mode scripts take under 30 seconds to apply during a shift. It’s designed for fast learning, quick refreshers, and real-world service environments.
How do staff access Tableside if we have a no-phone policy?
Tableside doesn’t require personal devices. Many restaurants use a shared tablet at the host stand, a POS terminal with a browser, or an office computer. Managers can also access Tableside from their own devices. Staff never need their phones on the floor to use it.
Can Tableside run on our POS system?
Yes. Most modern POS systems (Toast, Square, Lightspeed, Clover) allow embedded browser access. Tableside runs directly in the browser; so your team can use it during training moments without downloading anything.
Do we need to buy extra hardware?
Not necessarily. If your restaurant already has a tablet, office computer, or internet-enabled POS terminal, you're ready to go. Many restaurants dedicate one inexpensive tablet ($129–$199) as the “training device.”

3. Team & User Management

What happens if I hire seasonal or temporary staff?
You can add or remove users anytime. Your plan includes a set number of users per location, and you’re free to reassign those seats as employees change.
What if my team grows? Can I upgrade later?
Absolutely. You can upgrade to a higher plan at any time. When you do, your new pricing begins immediately and prorates automatically.
When do staff actually use Tableside?

Most restaurants use it:

  • during onboarding
  • pre-shift
  • during slower hours
  • after shift during side work
  • for scenario practice in the office
  • or managers use it to coach in real time

For real-time service needs, employees can step to the host stand or bar tablet to get a quick Micro Mode script.

How does pricing work?
Tableside pricing is based on the number of locations and the size of your team. Each plan includes access to all core coaching features, practice mode, and ongoing updates.
  • Foundations ($79/mo) — Up to 2 locations, 10 users/location
  • Signature ($129/mo) — Up to 5 locations, 20 users/location
  • Elevated (Coming Soon) — Up to 10 locations, 20 users/location
What if I have more than 10 locations?
Tableside is designed for independent restaurants and small groups, but if you need more than 10 locations, we can create a custom plan for you. Contact us and we’ll tailor a package to your team.
Can I try Tableside before committing?
Yes. For launch, we’re offering a special introductory rate of $59/month for your first two locations for the first 3 months. This gives you time to evaluate Tableside with your team before scaling to additional locations.
Is The DRISCOLL Method ebook really included?
Yes! For the first three months after launch, every new customer receives a free copy of The DRISCOLL Method ebook as part of your introductory subscription.
Is there an annual payment option?
Yes. You’ll save 15% when you choose annual billing. Many restaurants prefer this option to lock in savings for the year and simplify accounting.

Do I need to sign a contract?

Can I cancel anytime?
